Ubuntu : "your session only lasted less than 10 seconds " problem

Hi All,

When I login to ubuntu it is giving me following error

"your session only lasted less than 10 seconds .if you have not logged
out yourself ,this could mean that there is some installation problem
of that you may be out of disk space.Try logging in with one of
failsafe session to see if you can fix this problem"

Can you please help me out with this.

Regards,
Neelima

I think a possible cause of this is if your window manager failed to
initiate...

If you're logging in fine, you can safely ignore this (though you
should check your BeagleBoard clock).

If you're not, you should check your .xsession-errors or
/var/log/Xorg.0.log files for errors from GNOME or GNOME's daemons.

Basically, GDM remembers what time you logged in, and compares that to
what time you returned back to the login screen. If the two are
separated by anything less than 10 seconds, it will warn you.
