Hey Woss you might try to format the SD card with SDFormatter. I have run into SD cards that were not formatted properly out of the box.

Hmmm. We used to see that back in the old days. I used it all the time. I will look at adding that to the Wiki as a backup.

Format an SDCard and then dd the firmware image onto it? I don’t think that would have any effect.
It may if you have a corrupt sector and dd can not write to it properly. Just the other night I tried to use an sd out of an android phone and it would fail to boot but worked fine after I formatted it.
