Unable to mount USB disks ?

Hello folks I am using the Angstrom distribution on my rev C3 board &
am facing a problem. I am unable to mount USB disks connected via the
hub (and directly too) by clicking on the device icons on the Angstrom
desktop. The unused partition for storage purposes on the SD ard is
also shown but can't be accessed by clicking on its device icons. I
tried using the USB utility in the enlightenment menu, but that also
crashes often. These USB devices(apart from the SD card of course) are
connected via the USB port, NOT the USB OTG port.

Any help in this regard appreciated.

P.S. I am hoping this is not related to the big thread on USB EHCI
issues. Is it ?

Dear alcotraz,

Hello folks I am using the Angstrom distribution on my rev C3 board &
am facing a problem. I am unable to mount USB disks connected via the
hub (and directly too) by clicking on the device icons on the Angstrom
desktop.

If there are icons shown, the device should have been recognized by
Linux. Could you check with `dmesg` or in the `/var/log/syslog`?

The unused partition for storage purposes on the SD card is
also shown but can't be accessed by clicking on its device icons.

What DE are you using? Enlightenment? Is there an error message?

I tried using the USB utility in the enlightenment menu, but that also
crashes often. These USB devices(apart from the SD card of course) are
connected via the USB port, NOT the USB OTG port.

Any help in this regard appreciated.

I have no clue without an error message.

P.S. I am hoping this is not related to the big thread on USB EHCI
issues. Is it ?

If the device is recognized by Linux then it should not be related. But
I do not know.

Thanks,

Paul
