Upgrade difficulties

Forgive me for not knowing the right terminology around here; I’m completely new to this.

Anyway, I’m trying to get my Insteon Hub Pro to act as a Homebridge server (running the insteonlocal plugin, which is what referred me to this site).

Following the instructions to get the Beagleboard software running on my Hub Pro worked pretty well, but when I went to :3000 to configure my plug-in, I got a page telling me to upgrade instead.

Following those instructions, however, has led to some difficulties. First, I got some errors from the sudo tools/update_kernel.sh command; see the image below. Maybe somebody misspelled “seed”?

Secondly, after executing sudo apt upgrade, instead of seeing a [Y/n] prompt as the instructions suggest, I see the following:

I’m not sure what to do at this point, and I’m hardly a Linux expert. Should I ctrl-c out of this and execute the sudo apt autoremove command suggested? Or what?
