I have beagleboard Rev C4...
m booting with all latest files downloaded from
http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/demo/beagleboard/
but my USB EHCI port is not working...
m giving power to board through usb-OTG and i am using hub which is
externally powered.
In boot partition
1) MLO_rev_v3 (copied as MLO)
2) u-boot_rev_v3.bin ( copied as u-boot.bin)
3) uImage_rev_v3.bin (copied as uImage.bin)
In other partition
1) Angstrom-Beagleboard-demo-image-glibc-ipk-2009.X-test-20090104-
beagleboard.rootfs.tar.bz2
2) modules-2.6.29-r47-beagleboard.tgz
when i try to access my usb drive it showing message
"can't open '/dev/sda': No such file or directory"
Does it is necessary to provide power to beagleboard with power
adapter while connecting peripherals to beagleboard?
Plz help...
Powering the board via OTG should provide enough power for a USB Host thumbdrive. But, that really depends on the PC and how much power the thunbdrive consumes…

Ahh, where did you get these "v3"'s from? Not from the angstrom demo page..
(there is a power regulator lacking "bug/feature" in u-boot's made
before the "C4" came out)

Hi,
Please try with u-boot-revc4.bin from
http://code.google.com/p/beagleboard/downloads/list
I think there is some USB fix for Rev C4 u-boot.

Ashwin
