USB host on rev c3

Hi,

I think my board also suffers from the USB host issue. Whenever I plug
in any USB device, it just doesn't enumerate it and replugging also
does not help. I have read about the cap fix and will try that out but
what if it does not work for my board?

Thanks and Regards,
Akshat

The issue that the CAP fixes has nothing to do with whether or not you are able to enumerate. That has never been an issue on the Rev C3 board. The issue on the rev C3 board was that under heavy loads, the connection would drop. I would look toward a SW issue as to why you are unable to enumerate on the Host port. Also keep in mind that the port is High Speed only. It will not recognize a Low Speed device such as a keyboard or a mouse. For that to work, you need to use a High Speed hub.

Hi Gerald,

Thanks for the explaination. I have wrongly entioned enumeration here.
The problem is that the device is enumerated initially and soon
disconnects (wthin seconds). I'll try different kernel builds, the one
I am using curently is from the Ubuntu package.
The usb hub I am using is a self-powered high speed hub from Belkin
(usb 2.0) so that should not be a problem.
I hope that the problem is just a software fix .
Thanks again

If you like, you can go ahead and add the CAP to see if it helps. Typically this will end up fixing the issue in most cases, assuming that you do have this specific issue.
