How can you use a USB Mouse and a USB Keyboard with the BeagleBone Black? I purchased a pair and cannot get them to work, even though ‘lsusb’ shows them.

Since the BBB has only one USB port, you would need to use a USB hub to
be using two devices.
Is that hub being powered by the BBB (in which case it likely doesn't
have enough power for two devices) or come with its own wall-wart power
supply.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a recommended approach here?
Mostly I just SSH from my computer to it but... I did take a Logitech
"unifying" (wireless) module that I used with my laptop, and had both
keyboard and mouse functioning from the start. I'm powering the BBB with a
5V wall-wart.
Note: I'm still running "Wheezy" so if "Jessie" corrupted some drivers
I haven't encountered it yet.
