I am currently using BBB as an embedded controller with iPad used as the operator interface. Interface is HTML5 web based using Apache on BBB under RCN Ubuntu image. I have everything working if I invoke pages using IP addresses, but I’d like to use Host name in URL. Anybody have something similar working ?

The Angstrom release uses Avahi to broadcast beaglebone.local. You can look up Avahi and Ubuntu to configure something similar.
