what is max sink/source for GPIO pins

I’ve looked lots of places but can’t find definitive answer as to what is max sink/source current beagle bone GPIO pins can operate with.
Please help. what are limits and what document defines it.

For maple, arduino, stamp, limit is around 20ma per pin. For the beagle bone I’ve seen mention of only 4 to 6ma.

4-8mA as defined on a per pin basis by the AM3358 datasheet.
