I have a Xenarc touch screen with VGA, composite video, and audio
inputs. This specific model obviously wouldn't work for Beagleboard,
but I'm very pleased with it for other uses. It auto-detects the
display input and mode every time so far, and the integrated USB touch
screen seems to work well with Linux. 800x480 native resolution, with
LED backlight.

Xenarc makes a similar device with HDMI that I'm considering, it's
mentioned on the Beagleboard site as being supported:

If its quality is in any way similar to the unit I have, then I highly
recommend it. It's US$470, but the out-of-the-box experience,
workmanship, and high functional integration makes it worth the price IMHO.

Dear Ronny,

can you please precise if you want only the touch screen panel or the
full LCD display + touch screen.

I live in China and I develop also a product based on beagle board and
LCD + touch screen.

Usually for a 8" or below screen dimension, the technology for touch
screen is 4 wire resistant.

If you need only the touch screen panel :
- I have a good manufacturer here in shenzhen who can do them for
cheap price. I can help you to send to Europ (I am french), no
problem.

If you need the LCD module (display + touchscreen) :
- I recommend you the Innolux AT070TN83, it is 7" in 16/9 with 800x480
resolution. It has 4-wire resistive TS integrated and an easy LED
backlight driving. I can also help to you purchase some from here.

In both case, you will need a chip to drive the TS signal. I recommend
you the TSC2046 of burr brown as it is 1,8V compatible IO and run un
3,3V (no need to adapt level from OMAP).

Hi Georges,

At first thanks for your help!

Can you please specifify what the panel can do?
How do you connect it to a computer (USB?) ?
Does it support multitouch?
Is it only usable with a pen, or can I use my fingers too?
How large is it.
What would the cost be? and and and

I am very interested in your offer.
