That IC is pretty poor even under Windows. There is a better variant from Qualcomm iirc might be Atheros. The pinebook pro among other SBC’s use this one and its poorer than poor unfortunately.
@RobertCNelson believes we should be able to use the upstream Broadcom WiFi driver with a little bit of work. Hopefully we will have that working once the beta concludes.
Well for those already using the IC and upstream driver the hardware is just horrible thats my point unless they fixed it all of a sudden.
