I believe only you can answer this question: can XM board playback 720p or higher resolution with h264 codec? Of course by the “XM board” I mean a CPU utilized on it. I could finally find out the CPU model

It is a OMAP3530 compatible device on a yet to be announced processor. The CPU as has already been stated is 1GHz. The DSP is also faster, and the SGX is faster. Whether or not the SW can do H.264 at 720 and uses these added HW features would depend on the SW used.
