Yocto Project

Hi Team,

I need the procedure to Build Yocto project for Beaglebone black, can anyone share me the exact steps to be followed.

Thanks in Advance…

Hi,

I think beagleboard.org is primarily debian-based. I don’t THINK beagleboard.org really deals much in Yocto-based images for the BBB. Someone may be able to point you to the best resource(s) for building Yocto for BBB, but you may have to widen your net of resources (e.g. other Yocto-related user groups) for what you’re looking for.

I don’t know if the following site is useful:

http://www.jumpnowtek.com/beaglebone/BeagleBone-Systems-with-Yocto.html

Also, I believe the Linux TI SDK for the TI Sitara am335x is Yocto-based, with it’s Arago distribution.

I BELIEVE the following site provides guidance from TI on how to download everything you need to start bit-baking, but it’s been a while since I tried to download the complete Arago distribution and build it.

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Processor_SDK_Building_The_SDK

But the FS isn’t Debian, but something else which is less feature-rich.

Also, you can download the Linux processor SDK for the am335x with pre-built binaries and infrastructure for building u-boot and the kernel here, http://www.ti.com/tool/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X.
