Looks like the device tree is not loading properly.

I just booted by pressing boot button and this is the log. Now, it is loading updated u-boot.

Do you know for fact that overlay is correct, if it is known working overlay you don’t have the correct path for it.

Overlay does not need to be loaded, only k3-j721e-beagleboneai64.dtb is enough。i‘ll post my full boot log later.

I have followed the the complete process, still no luck.

I found the cause of the error from your dmesg log. In the log, the version number of the kernel module in your rootfs is inconsistent with the kernel, causing your kernel module to fail to load. Therefore, the remotproc of the R5F node in the device tree does not execute the action of loading and running the R5F core. Running “lsmod” can confirm this. This is a problem with ti’s sdk.

Specifically, the version number of the kernel compiled by ti’s SDK is “6.6.32-gdb8871293143-dirty”, but there is no subdirectory 6.6.32-gdb8871293143-dirty in the /lib/modules directory. The kernel module path in rootfs is “/lib/modules/6.6.32-ti-gdb8871293143-dirty”.

There are two ways to solve this problem:

  1. Replace all the products in the /lib/modules directory in the SD card with the kernel modules compiled by yourself.

  2. Image can also match the original rootfs using board-support/prebuilt-images/Image, allowing you to load the kernel module correctly

  1. this step just make sdcard, and beagle orgin image make 3 partition, ti-sdk scripts make 2 patition , and extlinux.conf need suit your partition number.

  2. ti-sdk does not provide a single image, but is divided into two images: boot and rootfs. boot file as Boot Files Tree show, and it origin from boot-adas-j721e-evm.tar.gz ,but we need replace to suit BBAI64;rootfs came from tisdk-adas-image-j721e-evm.tar.xz
    after install sdk, you’ll find all imags package those i mentioned.

  3. you need copy Image、u-boot.img、tispl.bin、tiboot3.bin、sysfw.itb ,these files need to be compiled and generated by configuring the SDK yourself. The steps are described in the post above
