[beagleboard] Add second sd card and nand memory

can we *please* put a size limit on posts to this mailing list? if
someone has 2M of crap they want to share, there's always pastebin or
something like that.

Can you help me with my problem ?
If you help me i will delete my post.

I might try. But you seem to be in a hurry, so I may not get to you in time.

Gerald

Your MAND schematic is wrong. VCC pins in ICs are not optional. I suggest you finish the HW design and connect all the ins that require connecting!

And the SD card schematic, well it is unusable. No pin numbers.I have no datasheet to see the pinout on the unnamed SD card connector.

I hope I was in time!!

Gerald.

ok if you can help me i will be grateful.
Valerian.

the datasheet is atached on my first message.
my nand have 2 Vcc and 2 GND.
the image i atached have 4 Vcc and 4 GND but my nand have 2 Vcc and 2 GND.

I don’t think you are going to make it. From what I can tell there could be several issues. SW most likely is the issue, but I am not a SW person, so I cannot help you. You will need to modify UBoot to get the NAND to work. As to the second SD card, that is another issue entirely. I have not seen anyone try to get that to work.

If you will send me your PCB layout, I would be happy to look at that for any issues,

Gerald

This are the correct circuits with pins.
My PCB si realy hard to see the connections.

I am asking for the etch, traces of the board. The lengths need to be matched and I am alos wondering about the ground plane topology you have used. Improper ground planes can cause issues. What PCB layout SW did you use?

Gerald

If anyone can help me with SW i will be very grateful. I don’t know how to modify U-boot.
Valerian.

this is the pcb.

Please i need help.

Valerian.

OK. So you are using wires. This is going to be very hard to get working. You need a properly laid out PCB for this to work.

Something like http://circuitco.com/support/index.php?title=BeagleBone_Memory_Expansion

You can buy NAND modules already made for it.

Gerald

I don’t want ta buy that cape i want to get it work how it is right now.
Do you think it will work?
I have done the circuits from that images.

Valerian.

I connect on the rest of the pins the LCD3 cape so i don’t know it will work with memory cape. because of pin mux.

Oh, it won’t. But what I am trying hard to tell you is even if you get the pin mux perfect, it is still not likely to work.

Gerald

Gerald i don’t have enough time to get the cape. That’s the problem.
Valerian.

Oh, I understand. But Physics are Physics. You can’t change them.
