Hi There,
I just received my BBAI-64 Board, and I am failing to enable UART-1.
Here are my steps -

I followed the instructions to upgrade the factory software booting from eMMC posted here: BeagleBoard.org - update-ai64
-
I cloned the repo from here:
BeagleBoard-DeviceTrees/src/arm64/overlays at v5.10.x-ti-arm64 · beagleboard/BeagleBoard-DeviceTrees · GitHub -
changed directory to BeagleBoard-DeviceTrees, then ran make, and sudo make install.
I saw the correct output at this step, and assume the .dtbo files were copied into the /boot/firmware/overlays directory -
I navigated to the /boot/firmware/extlinux and edited the extlinux.conf file to add “fdtoverlays /overlays/BONE-UART1.dtbo”
- After rebooting, I navigate to /dev/bone/uart , and I only see UART 0 available. Also, when running the command “sudo beagle-version | grep UBOOT” I do not see the overlay being loaded.
